Top Atlantic Sires Stakes sophomore pacing fillies Ramblinglily and Whistys Paradise faced off for the first time in stakes action this season in Sunday's fourth leg at Inverness Raceway producing a new track record.

Favourite Whistys Paradise and driver Ernest Laffin offered up a first over challenge to point leader Ramblinglily and Brodie MacPhee at the third quarter mark in their $9,780 "A" division, but was unable to gain the upperhand as Ramblinglily kicked away with a :28.1 final frame to score in a track record 1:57.3. Allan Jones trains, owns and bred the winning Articulator filly with Normand Leger. Ramblinglily now boasts wins in her last three ATSS events and is this year's Maritime Breeders champion.

The winning time was one-fifth of a second faster than Foreceful Hope's three-year-old pacing filly track record.

In the other "A" division, Peggy Connors' Scootin For Joy romped to a five and a half length victory in 1:58.1 for driver Mike Stevenson and trainer Wade Sorrie. The win was the first in ATSS this season for the daughter of Western Paradise and moved her into third place in the standings.

The $2,500 "B" divisions were won by Brandons Cowboy fillies Gotfaithincowboys (2:01) and Beaus Cowgirl (2:00.2).

MacPhee, Allan and Leger also teamed up to score in the sixth race with veteran pacer Woodmere Quickpeek earning the first win of his 12-year-old campaign -- and 70th lifetime -- in 2:02.2.

Five-year-old pacer Bonnie Mac won Inverness' top class in a season's best 1:59 with Marc Campbell aboard for trainer, owner and breeder Angus MacInnis. It was his fourth win in 19 starts this year and 17th lifetime.

The three-year-old pacing fillies will compete in their final ATSS preliminary leg on August 10 at Charlottetown Driving Park.
