Driver Robert Sparling Jr. was the latest reinsman to storm the announcer’s booth on Fun & Frivolity Friday Night preceding the biggest race day of the year at Grand River Raceway.
As part of the track's From Bike To Mic series, Sparling Jr. called race four, in which Bruce Richardson guided Ardmore to her second career win for trainer Paul Taylor. Richard Villeneuve owns the sophomore Jeremes Jet filly.
Next up for Grand River Raceway is the 22nd annual Industry Day event, a celebration of the harness racing industry. This year’s card includes 11 dashes worth an all-time high of $714,000 including the $300,000 Battle Of Waterloo. Post time for the August 6th card is 1:30 p.m.
