Stuck with post 9 in a tough field, Caviar Forthe Lady took matters into her own hands by bursting to the lead and permitting no serious challenges en route to a dominating win in Thursday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred

Trot at The Meadows.

Caviar Forthe Lady, a five-year-old daughter of SJs Caviar-Croupier Lady, easily shrugged off the first-over bid by Victory Is Coming and scored at 10-1 in a lifetime-best 1:54. It was three-quarters of a length to runner-up Careless Love, with Hawaiianphotograph rallied for third.

Dan Charlino drove for trainer Marty Wollam and Acadia Farms. With the win, Caviar Forthe Lady extended her career bankroll to $493,281.

Brett Miller drove four winners and Aaron Merriman three on the 13-race card.
