The Alberta Standardbred Horseman's Association has released news regarding race dates, qualifiers and stakes dates
.
First off, ASHA had applied for seven race days for this fall at Alberta Downs in Lacombe, but due to the economic situation they were not approved.
Secondly, qualifiers will be held at Alberta Downs on the following dates:
• Friday, October 30
• Saturday, October 31
• Sunday, November 1
• Friday, November 6
• Saturday, November 7
• Sunday, November 8
ASHA has stated that more details regarding the qualifiers will be announced.
Thirdly, ASHA would like horsepeople to take note that the ASHA Breeders Filly Stakes scheduled for Sunday, December 20 at Northlands Park in Edmonton has been moved to Saturday, December 19.
