It’s now two-in-a-row and counting for speedster Euchred thanks to a front-stepping triumph in Friday’s $1,675 feature pace at Truro Raceway.
Euchred was able to maneuver his way to the lead despite starting from the second tier, and once he cleared to the top he carved out panels of :27.3, :56.3 and 1:25 for driver Todd Trites. The pacer used a :28.3 closing quarter to win by 15-1/2 lengths over Stature Seelster in 1:53.3. Bettim Vicky rallied from eight to finish third.
Walter Walker trains the seven-year-old son of Shadow Play-Tipsy Taters for Kayla Habitch Walker of Inverness, NS. The gelding is now one win away from 50 lifetime scores. He’s closing in on $125,000 in career earnings.
