
Living up to his name, Duly Resolved held on to capture the $22,222 Open Trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday, Aug. 2.
Duly Resolved went to the front for driver Tyler Miller and never looked back, fronting the field through quarters of :28.1, :57.3 and 1:24.4 before a :29.2 final stanza was enough to hold off the late charge of Enola (Mike Merton) came flying down the stretch but fell just short as Duly Resolved held on by a neck in 1:54.1. P Chico (Ridge Warren) finished third.
A six-year-old millionaire son of Resolve, Duly Resolved is owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Jeff Cullipher. The win was the sixth of the season for the O'Brien Award winner, lifting his win total to 21 career victories.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Sunday, Aug. 3 with a post time of 1 p.m.
