Sweet Music For Symphonic Hanover

Symphonic Hanover is trained by Jonas Czernyson, who will be looking to win this year's Hambletonian for his former mentor, Per Eriksson

.

Czernyson owns Symphonic Hanover with Eriksson, who won the Hambletonian three times as a trainer, and Karl-Erik Bender, Per Rodert, and Rune Schonborg.

Last year, Symphonic Hanover was second to Muscle Hill in the Peter Haughton Memorial. This year, he has won three of five races, but entered the Hambletonian elims coming off an eighth-place finish in his Historic-Dickerson Cup division on July 3 at the Meadowlands. Symphonic Hanover, driven all season by David Miller, went off stride after the half-mile point.

The colt rebounded to win his Hambletonian elim by three lengths over Judge Joe in 1:54.1.

“I'm a very happy owner," said Eriksson, who won the Hambletonian with Prakas in 1985, Giant Victory in 1991, and Alf Palema in 1992. "I have no advice for Jonas. I think Jonas and Dave Miller have been patient and done a very good job. I try to stay on the side and if (Czernyson) needs any help, I give my advice."
