Grand River Raceway is up for regional recognition as an entertainment destination in the Waterloo Region.
The Elora, Ont. racetrack has been nominated for the Waterloo Region Record's 2021 Readers' Choice Awards. Each year, people from the community can nominate and vote for their favourite businesses and/or professionals with voting taking place online.
Grand River Raceway is nominated in the Entertainment category "Best Dinner Theatre" along with Aberfoyle Mill Restaurant; Elmira Theatre Company; and Walters Family Dinner Theatre. It received Platinum recognition in this category last year.
Grand River Raceway is also nominated for "Best Outdoor Tourist Attraction" with African Lion Safari; Bingemans, Funworx, BigSplash; Canoeing The Grand; Chicopee Tube Park; Conestoga River Horseback Adventures; Elmira Maple Syrup Festival; Greek Festival; Multi Cultural Festival Victoria Park; Sun Life Financial Waterloo Busker Carnival; and Sun Life UpTown Waterloo Jazz Festival.
Last year's Diamond winner of the Best Casino/Slots category, Elements Casino Grand River is nominated again alongside Elements Casino Mohawk.
