Under pressure every step, Infinite Symbol A turned back a slew of challengers to capture the feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows on Wednesday, Aug. 28, an $15,540 conditioned pace for fillies and mares.

Infinite Symbol A grabbed the lead for Brady Brown from post two, but once she crossed over, her rivals were stacked two and three wide, determined to wrest the lead from her. But the 10-year-old daughter of Indomitable Saab-Never Waver Lombo was resolute, scoring in 1:52.1, a half-length better than the rallying Cathy Hanover. Irish Daydream was a ground-saving third.

Mark Goldberg trains Infinite Symbol A, who boosted her career bankroll to $309,077, for Curby Stillings.

Dave Palone and trainer Dirk Simpson each enjoyed a three-bagger on the 12-race card while Wilbur Yoder fashioned a training/driving double.

‘MAYHEM’ REIGNS IN MEADOWS GLADA TROT

Tom “Mayhem” Svrcek and Iron Wheel made the decisive, first-over move down the backside, then drew off to capture Wednesday’s $13,513 leg of the Great Lakes Amateur Drivers Association (GLADA) Trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

Sent off the even-money favourite, Svrcek sat third before moving off the cones to challenge the leader, Robert “Saint” Barnard  and Golden Compass. Svrcek and Iron Wheel and rolled home in a career-best 1:55.1, 2-1/2 lengths better than Braden Rhoades driving Wild And Crazy Guy. Brandon “The Prestodigitator” Presto completed the triactor ticket with Troycen

Svrcek trains, owns and bred Iron Wheel, a seven-year-old Father Patrick-Magic Wheel gelding.

Thursday’s card at The Meadows features a pair of stakes for three-year-old filly trotters: two $71,399 USD Pennsylvania Sires Stake divisions and two $20,000 USD PA Stallion Series splits. On the wagering front, the program offers an $829.11 carryover in the Early Pentafecta (race 4). First post is 12:45 p.m.
