The Tuesday, Aug. 27 program at Running Aces featured a trio of Open events, including dashes for freshman trotters and pacers as well as the weekly top Open Pace.

In the $12,162 event for rookie trotters Attraente made a big impression in her first local start by easily dispensing of her seven rivals in dramatic fashion and lowering the track mark for freshman fillies in the process.

Trainer/driver Elson Miller floated the talented Gimpanzee filly away from the gate in second from post five and tracked early leader Tutti Frutti Rudy (Jacob Cutting) through the opening fractions of :30.1 and 1:00 before moving to the point as they headed down the backside.

Once on the lead Attraente began to open up at every call, hitting the three-quarter marker in 1:30 while on top by four lengths and leading by seven at the next call. She added a few exclamation points in the homestretch as she widened her advantage to a jaw-dropping 16 lengths at the wire to post the new 1:59 track mark, which had previously been held by Susies Sister (1:59.1 in 2019).

Tutti Frutti Rudy held second while longshot Step Machine (Elvin Zimmerman) closed late to pick up third money.

Attraente ($2.10) now shows two wins from four career starts. She is owned by the partnership of Dr. Ken Rucker, Russel Clarkson and CJ Christianson.

Tutto Bene was very good indeed on Tuesday, posting a career best gate-to-wire effort in 1:57 for his third win in his last four starts in the $12,162 freshman Open Pace, checking home a one-length winner over Out Of The Woods (Williams Hernandez) and stablemate Skoochs Valentine (James Kennedy).

Todd Warren was the winning pilot behind the son of Karpathian Kid for owner Ron Rettig-Zucchi and trainer Liberio Pacheco. Tutto Bene paid $4.80 to win.

Juju Hanover ($6.20) gave Elson Miller a double on the night with a 1:52.1 tally in the $20,946 Open Pace. The son of Artspeak clicked for his fifth win of the season and his 12th career victory.

Macs Marvel (Luke Plano) made all the fractions while Juju Hanover tracked in the pocket and PD The Big Easy (Mooney Svendsen) raced from third. When Macs Marvel jumped it off at the top of the stretch Juju Hanover grabbed the lead and went on to score by 1-3/4 lengths over a fast-closing Commanding Officer (Nick Roland) while PD The Big Easy checked in third.

In addition to Miller, Brady Jenson also scored both a driving and training double on the program.

Live harness racing returns to Running Aces on Thursday, Aug. 29 for a 12-race program that will get underway at 6 p.m. (CDT).
