Driver Preston Shaw placed odds-on choice Olczyk on the point and coasted from there to take the $7,000 Prospect Series split for two-year-old pacing colts and geldings at Leamington Raceway on Sunday (Aug. 28).

The gelding by Sunshine Beach cleared command from post 4 to a :29.1 first quarter and remained on top with no threats through a 1:00 half and three-quarters in 1:31. He cruised for home to win by 2-3/4 lengths over pocket-sitter It Takes Two with Acefortyfourdiesel third and HIdden Article finishing fourth.

Owned by Thestable Olczyk Group, Olczyk won his third race from eight starts and has now earned $12,639. Mario Baillargeon trains the $2.70 winner.

Wisk Key K inherited the lead and held the helm to take the $5,600 Preferred 4 Pace in 1:57.2. The four-year-old Bettors Delight gelding sat second to Real Wicked heading to a :28.3 first quarter but soon found himself on the lead when Real Wicked broke stride.
