Meet-leading trainer and driver Paul Langille completed a Truro triple on Friday (August 28) as sophomore stakes winner Harry G circled a field of eight older foes in the featured $1,675 Winners Over Pace.

Despite getting away last from the outside post eight, Harry G began to advance at the half then rallied three-wide down the backstretch to defeat the front-striding Catch Twenty Two by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:56 flat.

A parked out Catch Twenty Two had cleared Distinctiv Rusty at the :27.4 quarter mark before putting up middle splits of :56.2 and 1:25.4. He held on for second over the first-up Toxicity while Distinctiv Rusty finished fourth.

Sent postward as the odds-on favourite, Harry G paid $3.80 to win.

The homebred Rollwithitharry gelding is now six-for-eight this year with prior wins in a pair of Atlantic Sires Stakes divisions and the Nova Scotia Stakes among his accomplishments for Arleen, Chantel and Christina Gillis.

The win marked his ninth successful outing from 16 career starts and bumped his bankroll over the $30,000 mark.

Langille was also victorious with Preceptor ($2.60) and Woodmere Rollily ($7.80) on Friday.
