It turned out to be a profitable Thursday evening at Rideau Carleton Raceway for trainer Mandy Archer, who watched three of her starters find their way to victory lane on the 10-race card.
Archer, who now boasts a .520 UTR for the season following the hat trick performance, got the ball rolling with State Of Play (1:55.4) in Race 5. Guy Gagnon mapped out the front-stepping score for the son of Shadow Play.
Next to click for Archer was P H Impulse (1:55.1) in Race 7 for driver Stephane Brosseau. The son of Mach Three went to the front and didn’t look back en route to the win by 2-1/2 lengths.
Sent off as a 1-9 favourite in the finale for Archer, Mach Messier (1:55.3) quarter pole-moved to the lead for driver Guy Gagnon and held on to win by three-quarters of a length.
