Officials at Rideau Carleton Raceway have told Trot Insider that only nine horses have been entered to contest the eliminations for the Frank Ryan Memorial Trot. Thus, elims are not necessary and all will head straight to the
$161,750 final, to take place Sunday, September 6.
Armbro Chronicle, the defending Frank Ryan champ, leads the way and will be looking to defend its title in the 45th edition of the classic stakes event.
Local favorite Gutsy Volo has also been entered.
The connections of Slave Dream and Merited Victory decided to each pony up the $10,000 supplemental fee to make their charges eligible.
Post positions for the Frank Ryan Memorial Trot will be drawn this Sunday evening during Rideau's live card.
