Forrest Bartlett’s Iwannabewithyou ($9.60, Trae Porter) was a wire-to-wire winner in 1:52.4 in the $30,405 Free-For-All Handicap Pace on Monday, Aug. 26 at Harrington Raceway.
The five-year-old Luck Be Withyou gelding capitalized on a much better draw this start and was sent immediately to the lead from post position five and never looked back in achieving his 11th win of the year for trainer Kevin Lare. My Miki Beach was second with Ammo third.
Iwannabewithyou had spent most of the summer competing at Ocean Downs, where he won three Open level events.
On the undercard, Cathy Dessert’s Imoutthedoor ($4, Tony Morgan) made it two wins in a row in a $60,811 claiming event for trainer Chris Scicluna.
Trainer Crissy Crissman-Bier had four wins on the card, two of which were for owner Vincent Ferriero. They were Metallica ($5.40, Art Stafford Jr.), All About The Hunt ($6.60, Montrell Teague), Showdown Lynx ($4.60, Art Stafford Jr.), and Bettors Ville ($2.80, Art Stafford Jr.).
Live harness racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule until Oct. 23, with post time at 4:30 p.m.
