Both trotter Skates N Plates and pacer Bruces Magic used pocket trips to take their respective $16,500 features Saturday, August 26 at the Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono.

Skates N Plates, a son of Revenue S, trotted to sit behind pace-setting Somebody AS, then rallied to catch his rival by a neck in a 1:54 mile. Anthony Napolitano was in the sulky behind the winner of $396,929 in his career for trainer Andrew Harris and owner Robert Key.

Bruces Magic, inheriting the pocket spot approaching three-quarters after Bestjetyet lost stride and impacted the outer tier of horses, caught favourite Ontario Success in the stretch to win in a lifetime best of 1:50.1. Trained by Bruce Lauer for owner Bill Reepmeyer, Vinnie Ginsburg steered the $21.80 winner.
