JK Panache went gate to wire to win the $7,500 feature at Vernon Downs on Saturday, August 26.
JK Panache charged out of the gate and controlled the tempo through splits of :27.1, :56.0, 1:23.2, eventually winning in 1:51.0. The seven-year-old, who is owned by Philip Hale and trainer David Dewhurst, held off the late charge of Oh My Joepa, with Calvin B finishing third.
JK Panache, paying $3.10 to win, won for the seventh time this season. It was his 53rd win in his career.
Vernon Downs returns to live racing on Friday, August 31 at 6:45 p.m.
