Something Reel collected her third straight win in a career-best 1:51.4 in Wednesday’s feature at The Meadows, a $12,100 filly and mare conditioned pace.

Something Reel released All Day Sunshine to the lead in the first panel and yielded to the pocket, But when Dave Palone said go, the five-year-old daughter of Westwardho Hanover-Im A Realist was the fresher mare, zipping through the Lightning Lane to down All Day Sunshine by three-quarters of a length. Amelias Courage A was a ground-saving third.

Brandon Presto trains Something Reel, who lifted her lifetime bankroll to $168,395, for Larry Parlin.

Eric Goodell piloted four winners on the 13-race card.

Thursday’s program at The Meadows features a pair of stakes for freshman filly trotters — a $162,110 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes and a $60,000 PA Stallion Series event. Prompted by a $28,082.06 carryover, The Meadows has added a $40,000 guarantee for Thursday’s Super Hi-5 in association with the United States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering initiative. The Meadows offers the Super Hi-5, with a 20-cent minimum wager, on the final race of each live card. First post is 12:35 p.m.
