Super Duper Cooper maintained his dominance over the Tioga Downs Open Trot ranks with a 3-1/2-length score in the $21,233 feature for his third straight win in the track's top class on Saturday, Aug. 22.
Super Duper Cooper charged straight to the front for Braxten Boyd and led through :28.3, :57.4 and 1:25.3 fractions without opposition. He drew off in the stretch and cruised to the 1:53.4 score with Makes Me Charlie (Tom Merton) second-best. Purple Lord (Jim Pantaleano) got third money.
Super Duper Cooper, a five-year-old E L Titan-Pink Power gelding, is owned by Pollack Racing LLC and trained by Enrico Robinson. He has won three consecutive in Tioga Opens, with a fourth in the Open at Plainridge Park preceding Saturday's score. His career record is now 18-for-75 lifetime.
Boyd also won with So Diva ($12.14), Quickway ($2.78) and Bronzer ($4.74) for a grand slam on the 10-race card.
Live racing returns to Tioga on Sunday, starting at 12:30 p.m.
