Three-year-old pacers were in action for Sunday's (Aug. 23) Kentucky Sire Stakes at The Red Mile.
Caliber and driver David Miller left quickly out of the gate to take control and drew off through a :26 last quarter to win by two lengths in a lifetime best of 1:48.4. The three-year-old Sweet Lou-Allstar Rating gelding is owned by Diamond Creek Racing and is trained by Ron Burke.
In the three-year-old filly division, Baby Your The Best was much the best, winning by over nine lengths in 1:50.1 and giving Miller a sweep of the sophomore pacing divisions. The Captaintreacherous-Dolphins Can Talk filly earned a new lifetime mark with her victory for owners Richard and Joanne Young and trainer Linda Toscano.
