Dashpedia Never In Doubt At Inverness

Dashpedia ($5.10) faced nary a challenge on Sunday afternoon (Aug. 23) at Inverness Raceway, successfully bottoming out his five rivals en route to a 1:59 score in the featured $1,250 winners-over pace.

Zachary Mullins took advantage of the pole position with the 10-year-old Bettors Delight gelding and gunned him to a three-length lead through a :30 first quarter. From there, Dashpedia's lead kept growing, as he rolled through middle splits of :59.4 and 1:29.2 and expanded his lead to six lengths over his nearest rival, Vegas Machs, nearing the final turn.

Off the corner for home, Brookdale Buster mounted a rally from the back of the pack and took second from Vegas Machs in upper stretch, but could not gain to within four lengths of Dashpedia, who won comfortably for the 38th time in his career and his fifth of the meeting.

Defending winner Docs Ronhenry failed to sustain an extended uncovered bid after being parked, and faded to finish fifth in the field of six.
