Walter Cheverie wasn't camera shy on Saturday night at Red Shores' Charlottetown as he showed off his blue and orange colours in five winner's circle photos throughout the 12-dash card.

The Nine Mile Creek, P.E.I. native started on his winning ways in the first race with his own trainee Nogreatmischief, who broke his maiden in 2:01.3. Cheverie owns the three-year-old Bettors Delight colt. He followed it up with another win from his stable in the third with Zingers Laugh in 1:59.3. He then closed out the card with a natural hat-trick, beginning with Pictonian Walton winning Race 10 in 1:59.1 for owner Roger MacRae.

He biggest win of the night came aboard the veteran free-legged pacer Blu Meadow Willie in the $2,250 Preferred 2 feature. Leaving from post three, Cheverie got away trailing the field and moved just past the half, fanning out four-wide around the final turn and winning by a quarter of a length in 1:56.4. Blue Meadow Willie is owned by Robert and Brenda MacInnis. 'Willie' picked up his 52 lifetime victory. The 10-year-old son of Drop Off has been on a roll as of late, winning three of his last four starts and all three victories have come with Cheverie in the bike. Fractions of the race were :28.1, :57.2 and 1:27.1. Tempo Seelster finished second and Cheyenne Ford was third.

Cheverie closed out the night with a going away winner in J K Special. A landmark in the Open Mares over the last number of years, J K Special enjoyed the drop in class winning in 1:58.1 for owner/trainer Joe Smallwood.

Veteran reinsman Brian MacPhee took the $1,850 Open Trot aboard the betting favourite Zip The Lip in 2:01.3 for owners Orville Willis and Donnie Sweet, who does the training. MacPhee converted off a text book two-hole ride to win by a length over Pleasure Girls and tempo-setter Abundspin.
