Training Triple For Rey At Holland Fair

The day didn’t start out so hot for trainer Roland Rey at Holland Fair on Sunday afternoon's eight-race program, but boy did it finish on a high note

.

After watching his first two starters of the day finish seventh and fifth, respectively, the stable came to life in a big way.

Rey watched Cheyenne Dusk make six rivals eat his dust thanks to a 2:00.2 score in Race 5. He went on to send out the top two finishers in Race 6 thanks to KG DNA’s head decision in 2:02.2 over stablemate Have You Been Told.

A third-place finish with Three Promises in Race 7 broke the string of wins, but a 2:01.2 tally in Race 8 by Cool Thing completed the training hat trick for Rey – a career winner in excess of $110,000.
