Undefeated pacing sensation Windemere Skye will attempt to extend her perfect career record to 19 on Friday, Aug. 21 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park during Old Home Week racing.

The capital oval has a 14-dash presentation starting at 6 p.m., with Windemere Skye headlining the $24,650 Lady Slipper Stake Gold division for three-year-old pacing fillies in Race 12.

Windemere Skye is the 5-2 morning-line favourite from post six with Marc Campbell driving for trainer Earl Watts and owners Windemere Farms of Springvale, P.E.I. and Matt Burke of Stratford, P.E.I. The daughter of Somewhere Fancy-Howmac Missy is unbeaten in 18 lifetime starts, including six victories this season, and enters Friday’s assignment fresh from a 1:54.4 score in P.E.I. Colt Stakes Gold action.

Serenity Now is the second choice at 3-1 from post three for driver Jason Hughes and trainer Ashley Gamester. The Sportswriter-Silent Serenity filly finished just a quarter-length behind Windemere Skye in their latest encounter.

Mattnificent Rose (7-2) has post one with Paul Langille driving for trainer Luke Burke while Going For Blood (4-1) leaves from post seven for trainer-driver Kenny Arsenault.

The Post Time Picks expects Windemere Skye to continue her flawless campaign.

“Windemere Skye has been perfect so far in her career and made it 18 straight wins last time out in Charlottetown. She draws post six for this assignment and Campbell won’t wait long, so we’re calling for 19 in a row.”

The $30,000 James “Roach” MacGregor Memorial Gold Cup and Saucer consolation closes the program in Race 14.

Arbitrage Hanover is the 5-2 morning-line favourite from post three with Ken Murphy driving for trainer Clifford Murphy and owners Ken Hardie of Bedford, N.S. and Glenn and Justin Hardie of Middle Sackville, N.S. The five-year-old son of Bettors Wish-Ana Hanover owns a 1:49 lifetime mark and set a 1:50.3 Summerside track record in his Governor’s Plate elimination.

Twin B Tuffenuff is listed at 3-1 from post four with Gilles Barrieau in the seat for trainer Ron Matheson and owner Patrick Morris of Charlottetown, P.E.I. The veteran pacer finished fifth in his Gold Cup and Saucer Trial after winning his previous start at Summerside in 1:53.

Nuttin But Finesse has rail control at 7-2 for driver Mike Downey and trainer Ellen Stevenson, while Dalton Shard N is a 4-1 contender from post seven for driver Jason Ryan and trainer Francis Guillemette.

Papis Rocket (PP2, David Dowling, 6-1), Jmr Speak Away (PP5, Marc Campbell, 8-1), The Magic Moment (PP6, Brett MacDonald, 10-1) and Mappos Lion (PP8, Ryan Campbell, 12-1) complete the field.
