So Much More topped the Preferred distaffers at Woodbine Mohawk Park for the second week in a row with a sub-1:50 mile in rein to James MacDonald on Friday night (August 20)

The 3-2 bettors' choice, Lit De Rose (Louis-Phillipe Roy), looped early leader Marloe Hanover (Jody Jamieson) on the way to the half-mile mark in :55.1 before MacDonald sent 9-5 second choice So Much More on the move from fourth.

So Much More pressed the favourite past three-quarters in 1:23.2 and dug in down the lane to get by, scoring in 1:49.4 by three-quarters of a length with a 26-second final frame.

Gias Surreal (Sylvain Filion), who had trailed the field that was scratched down to six through the first half, closed impressively off the winner's cover to finish second, just ahead of Marloe Hanover and Lit De Rose.

So Much More has now won back-to-back Preferreds and three of her last four starts at the top level. She has earned seven wins and five seconds along with $146,300 in purses through 15 starts this year.

Don Beatson trains and co-owns the five-year-old Big Jim-Ladysai mare with Kenneth Beatson of Palgrave, Ont., and Cole England of Exeter, Ont.

So Much More is a career winner of 38 races and the lion's share of the $30,000 purse lifted her bankroll to $690,667.
