Ace On The River upped his win streak to five with a wire-to-wire performance in the featured $1,700 Winners Over Pace at Fredericton Raceway on Sunday evening

Leading from start to finish, Ace On The River and driver Phil Hodgson carved out fractions of :28.4, :59.4 and 1:29.2 along the way and stopped the timer in 1:59.4, missing his lifetime mark by two-fifths of a second. Michaels Pleasure (Scott Hubbard) followed one length behind from the pocket and Hello America (Michael Downey) came on from the back of the pack to show.
Heather Hathaway owns, trains and bred the five-year-old son of Western Success-Lf Anne, who has now won seven of his 13 starts this year. The bay gelding began his win streak on July 23 at Exhibition Park Raceway and has carried it across the province to Fredericton, Woodstock and back again.
