Victor Kirby and Matthew Ivory’s Allmar Surprise set a new Harrington Raceway track record for four-year-olds and all-aged mares with a 1:55.3 win in the $21,700 Junior Open Trot.
The four-year-old Angus Hall mare set all the fractions in her three-length win over Spunky Vic and LTs Best.
‘Surprise’ had just set a track record for four-year-olds on July 30 when it won the $30,000 Charles Murphy Jr. Memorial in 1:56.3. The Mare has now banked more than $94,000 in 2009. Kirby also trains the trotting mare, who he acquired in 2008.
