Trainer Kelly Hoerdt collected three victories on the eight-race program Sunday, Aug. 18 at The Track On 2, one of which came in the $5,000 featured Fillies & Mares Pace.

Hoerdt secured a pocket ride for Queen Of Thrones, who sat through early splits of :30.1 and 1:01.1 before sweeping to the front heading towards three-quarters in 1:31.1. The five-year-old Blue Burner mare led early-leader Steady Breeze by four lengths rounding the final turn and cruised to a two-and-a-half length win over Bearcat Josi, who rallied from near last to take second. You Name It took third.

Queen Of Thrones won her fifth race from 22 starts and her 13th from 102 overall, earning $83,984. Hoerdt also owns the $7.00 winner.

Flash A Smile ($3.30; 1:58.1) gave Hoerdt his first win on the card, brushing to the front past the half and kicking to a four-and-a-quarter length victory in a $4,700 conditioned pace. His third training win on the card came in the nightcap when guiding Good Day Is Coming ($4.40) held on by three-quarter lengths to win a $4,000 conditioned pace in 2:00.3.

A week after Ladies From Hell lowered the track standard for aged pacing mares, Cuttingtothechase dropped the track record by a fifth of a second when winning the opening race on the card as the odds-on favourite going wire to wire. The six-year-old Mystery Chase mare set a clip of :29.3, :58.4 and 1:28.1 in progress to a neck victory in 1:56.1 over Outlawstormyweather.
