A total of 16 sophomore pacing fillies will face off Saturday afternoon at Holland Fair in a pair of $5,130 Lady Crocus divisions

, sponsored by Standardbred Canada and the Manitoba Standardbred Sires & Breeders Association (MSSBA).

Originally set for August 7 at Killarney, the Lady Crocus was rescheduled for Saturday, August 21 at Holland due to poor weather conditions.

Heartland Friendha takes top billing in the first division, programmed as Race 4. She has won half of her eight starts so far this year including the Manitoba Great Western Stake Final in a 1:59.4 Killarney track record. The Firm Friend-Hah filly is a half-sister to Heartland Icicle, who won a division of the Lady Crocus last year. Philip Giesbrecht will drive the early 2-1 favourite, who drew the inside post position, for trainer Marc Fillion and co-owners Allan and Carole Drader of Brookdale, MB.

Fresh off her biggest career win at Wawanesa on Sunday, MSSBA Futurity champion What A Rose will leave from Post 7 in the second division, set to go as Race 5. Unraced at two, the Prince Brian-Countess P J filly enters Saturday’s affair with four wins and two seconds on her card in just six starts. Breeder Roland Rey will drive the 2-5 favourite for trainer and owner Arthur Rey.

Saturday’s action gets underway at 1:30 p.m.
