Three-year-old trotting fillies battled in a set of $7,200 divisions of the Prospect Series during Tuesday’s 10-race card at Georgian Downs, with Royaltys Dream and Galo Halo capturing their respective assignments.
Royaltys Dream went to the front and didn’t look back in her tilt for the duo of driver Jason Ryan and trainer Meg Crone.
Ryan hustled her to the lead from Post 4 and after slicing out splits of :28.4, 1:01 and 1:29.3 the daughter of Royalty For Life-Uneeda Dream kicked home in :29.4 to win by a length over Sayonara Angel in 1:59.2. Self Important rounded out the Trifecta ticket.
John and Susan Clark of Caledonia, ON own the sophomore who now boasts a 4-3-0 record from eight trips to the track this season. She’s now banked over $25,000 to date.
Gala Halo front-stepped her way to a solid score in the second division for the tandem of driver Nick Boyd and trainer Rick Zeron.
The daughter of Archangel-Galahads Damsel was parked by Her Grace K to the quarter pole in :29.4 before she was able to muscle her way to the top. Once she cleared she sailed through middle panels of 1:01 and 1:30.4 before using a :29.2 closing quarter to win by 1-1/4 lengths over Kickin Your Mass. Taking home the show dough was Her Grace K.
Hutt Racing Stable of Paoli, PA owns the four-time winner who owns a 3-0-1 record from 11 trips to the track this season. It was a career best score for the winner of $41,730.
