Scott Zeron made the most of his trek to Mohawk Racetrack on Friday evening as the Oakville, Ont. resident won half of the races on the 12-race card.

Zeron swept the early Pick 4 beginning in race four with three-year-old pacing filly Miss Machqueen scoring by a neck in 1:52.4 for trainer Tony O’Sullivan. Zeron then teamed up with conditioner Tony Alagna as he guided the heavily favoured three-year-old trotting filly Watch The Rhythm to another neck victory in 1:54.4. Zeron once again found the wire first with four-year-old pacing mare Eighthunrdolarbill for trainer Casie Coleman, stopping the timer in 1:51.1. The talented reinsman completed the Pick 4 sweep with the debuting rookie pacer Lyonssomewhere for trainer Ciaran Morrison in 1:53.1.

Zeron returned to victory lane in race nine as he once again teamed up with Alagna and guided Metro Pace eligible and heavily favoured Ideal Magic home in 1:52.2.

Two races later, Zeron sent former O'Brien Award winner Monkey On My Wheel, who was making her first start from the Coleman barn, down the road to win the evening's featured $30,000 Fillies And Mares Preferred Pace in 1:49.4.

Zeron, who currently leads all drivers on the WEG circuit with 193 victories this year, has over $28.1 million in career earnings as a driver. He has been a finalist for the O’Brien Award the past three seasons.
