After coming up just a bit short in back-to-back starts in Rideau Carleton Raceway’s top class for pacers, Best Show In Town stepped up his game and picked up a
sharp score in Sunday’s edition of the $12,100 Preferred Pace.
Best Show In Town, who was second by a neck in his August 2 and August 9 assignments, got the whole enchilada in Sunday night’s main event for the tandem of driver Guy Gagnon and trainer Gerard Demers.
The seven-year-old son of Grinfromeartoear blasted to the lead and sliced out splits of :28, :56.3 and 1:24.2 before stepping home in :29.1 to post the two-length decision over Nocturnal and Bolero Trisco.
It was the ninth win of the season in 24 trips postward for the 41-time winner, who has banked in excess of $353,000 for the 9174 7998 Quebec Inc. of Blainville, QC.
