
Wehadababyetzaboy notched his seventh win of the season in the $24,658 Open Pace on Monday, Aug. 11 at Harrington Raceway.
He made the early lead from post three from Rocknroll Lou (Ross Wolfenden), who received a pocket trip as the leader marched through fractions :27.2, :56.1 and 1:24.2 for Jason Green. Wehadababyetzaboy then pulled away from that rival down the stretch to a 2-1/4-length victory in 1:51.4. Hundred Dollar Man (Montrell Teague) finished third.
Wehadababyetzaboy, a six-year-old son of Sweet Lou-Camille, is seven-for-28 this year for trainer Chuck Crissman Jr. and owner EVM Racing LLC. The gelding has won 23 times and earned $363,921 in 90 career starts. He paid $8.60 to win.
The meet's leading driver, Montrell Teague, returned in style with four wins on the program. Jason Green had a pair of wins for trainer Crissman Jr., while Art Stafford Jr. also had a driving double. Trainer Tim Crissman took a pair of wins.
On the undercard, Rich Ashley, Theresa Fallon, and Denise Davis' Best Night Ever ($13.60, Allan Davis) was a 1:53 winner in the $19,863 Winners Over Pace by three-quarters of a length over Joker On Jack (Corey Callahan). Sprocket (Pat Berry) was third. The winner, a four-year-old Betterthancheddar-Before Dawn gelding, is now five-for-21 this season for trainer Joe Hundertpfund.
