The Ontario Harness Horse Association is pleased to announce the winners of the 2010 OHHA scholar
ships.
For the fifth year in a row, OHHA has awarded six scholarships to children of active, participating OHHA members that are entering their first year of full-time undergraduate studies leading to a first post-secondary certificate or diploma.
One of the criteria to be awarded a scholarship is proven academic achievement.
This year’s winners of the $2,500 university scholarships are: Nicole Cecchin (Arthur), who will be attending the University of Waterloo; Jordan Hamm (Sarnia), who will attend the University of Western Ontario in London; and William O’Brian (Orono), who is heading for McMaster University in Hamilton.
Winners of the $1,500 college scholarships are: Sarah-Jane Ford (Kingsville), who will be going to Fanshawe College in London; Clayton Fritsch (Chesley), who will attend Georgian College in Barrie; and Carly Ruhl (Fergus), who will be attending Conestoga College in Kitchener.
OHHA thanks all the students who applied for a scholarship and wishes them the very best of luck with their studies and for the future!
