Duly Resolved went back-to-back in the $20,548 Open Trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday, Aug. 9 with another front-end victory.
Duly Resolved ($10.80) asserted himself on the engine in a :26.2 first panel and led to the half in :56 for Tyler Miller. Enola (Mike Merton) was the first to make a move heading down the backstretch, but she was unable to trouble Duly Resolved, who cruised to three-quarters in 1:23.2. Purple Lord (Jim Pantaleano) popped the pocket at the top of the stretch and came all out after the leader, but Duly Resolved dug in and won by a half-length in 1:53.1. Enola completed the ticket.
Duly Resolved has won his last three appearances in the Open Trot at Tioga and four of his past five starts overall. Jeff Cullipher trains the son of Resolve-Motown Muscle for Pollack Racing LLC. The six-year-old is seven-for-23 this season and has won 22 of 83 career starts.
Miller, Pantaleano, and Ridge Warren had driving doubles. Jamie Daley harnessed two winners.
