Perfect Night For Lamoureux

Sudbury Downs' top trainer, Yvon Lamoureux, extended his lead in the standings after sending out three more winners during Wednesday's eight-race program

.

Lamoureux, three-for-three on the night, scored his first win in the second race when seven-year-old mare The Panductor ($3.50) and driver David Dowling opened up an insurmountable lead en route to a 1:57.2 triumph. Two races later, four-year-old gelding Amazing Quest ($6.60) and Jason Ryan converted from the pocket to score in 1:56.4 victory by a neck. Eight-year-old gelding Silk Puddles ($9.10)and driver Justin Turcotte closed out the card for Lamoureux with a one length, front end victory in 2:00 flat.

The resident of Chelmsford, Ont. sports a .432 average in his first year of training with a record reading 34-18-12 in 111 starts.

Lamoureux now holds a 13-win lead over France MacLean in the track's trainers standings.
