Imalookertoo ($4.50) looked every bit the part of the 6-5 favourite he was in Sunday's (Aug. 1) $2,000 top pace at Truro Raceway, vaulting to the fore up the backstretch and delivering a 1:56 victory.
With trainer Danny Romo at the controls, the four-year-old son of Shadow Play worked into the running line as Ubettimagoodone and Brookdale Jim duelled through a :56.1 half. As the pace disintegrated on the second circuit, Imalookertoo surged forward, drawing clear by five lengths on the final turn and evading Harry G — who likewise eclipsed the collapsing front flight — by two lengths. Johnnywalkerdelux rallied from last to finish third.
Bob Sumarah owns Imalookertoo, now a 12-time winner.
