Tioga Downs' leading driver, Wally Hennessey, just keeps on rolling as he drove five more winners at the Southern Tier oval on Sunday (Aug. 1).

Hennessey combined with trainer Justin Sodano to win with The Candyman Can ($3.00), and Luck N Roll K ($4.20). His other wins came with Montalbano Bi ($5.20), Lucky June Bug ($4.50), and Hidden Assassin ($2.50).

Jammin Jack ($15.60) and Corey Braden took the featured $8,600 trot.

BJ Lorado (Braxten Boyd) jumped right to the front and led to the first quarter in :28 before rating a :56.4 half. Jammin Jack made his move from third down the backstretch and challenged BJ Lorado to three-quarters in 1:25.2.

As they made the turn for home, Jammin Jack took over the lead. Joey Pro (Wally Hennessey) found an opening on the inside and Anchors Away (Mike Simons) came charging on the outside, but Jammin Jack was too strong, winning in 1:55.1. Joey Pro was second best; Anchors Away finished third.

Jammin Jack is a six-year-old gelding by Angus Hall owned by Sum Ting Wong Stables and trained by Leon Cable. It was his third win of the season and the 18th of his career.

John MacDonald drove two winners on the card and Jeff Byron had a training double.

Live racing returns to Tioga Downs on Friday (Aug. 6) starting at 6:15 p.m. For more information, go to
