With summer stakes underway and a major weekend of harness racing coming up this Saturday at The Meadowlands, the 2019 TROT Magazine Fantasy Stable leadership lies in the hands of PEI’s Brett Leblanc.
Leblanc of Charlottetown, PEI leads the fantasy stable contest with $2,879,894, bolstered by horses such as Captain Crunch ($637,199), Bettors Wish ($607,130) and Atlanta ($437,750). Leblanc’s roster also includes two-year-old New York Sire Stakes winner Merga Hanover ($34,716). Leblanc will receive TROT Magazine swag as a reward of his current leadership. Prizes will be given to every leader at the start of each month.
Rounding out the top three of the TROT Magazine Fantasy Stable are Roger Paradis of Gatineau, Quebec ($2.79 million) and Ryan Campbell of Sydney, N.S. ($2.76 million).
With all 12 of the 2019 Breeders Crown Championship finals taking place on October 25 & 26 at Woodbine Mohawk Park, the Hambletonian Society and TROT Magazine have teamed up this year to present the sixth annual edition of the TROT Magazine Fantasy Stable contest.
The popular TROT Magazine Fantasy Stable contest, which attracted more than 1,350 contestants in 2019, already had a tie-in to the Breeders Crown with all 12 Crown winners gaining a bonus $200,000 toward their fantasy stable bankroll.
The winner of the 2019 TROT Fantasy Stable will be awarded a spot in the 2020 World Harness Handicapping Championship plus a $500 travel voucher.
The TROT Magazine Fantasy Stable contest is based on total earnings of selected horses and five percent of the earnings of selected trainers and drivers between May 18 and December 31, 2019. For the purposes of the fantasy bankroll, the winners (horses only) of the 2019 Breeders Crown Finals will each receive a $200,000 contest bankroll bonus.
