Muscle Massive Debuts In Big M Baby Races

The Muscles Yankee-Graceful Touch trotting colt, Muscle Massive made his debut for trainer Jimmy Takter on Saturday as the baby races continued at the Meadowlands Racetrack with six qualifiers

With John Campbell in the bike, Muscle Massive converted a pocket trip into a 2:02.3 score with his last quarter clocked in :28.1. The bay colt, who is a full brother to Muscle Mass (1:53.4 - $229,000), was purchased for $425,000 at the Harrisburg Sale in Pennsylvania.

The Muscles Yankee-Kimmie Hall miss Kitefin Hanover, who recently picked up checks in a pair of New Jersey Sires Stakes divisions, wired the field to win the fastest trotting qualifier by 10 lengths in 2:00.2 for the tandem of driver John Campbell and trainer Randall Beckman. The bay filly was a $60,000 purchase at the Lexington Select Sale in Kentucky.

Glittering Muscles, a son of Muscles Yankee-Broadway Diamond purchased for $27,000 at the Harrisburg Sale, won his qualifier in 2:01 for Campbell and trainer Charles Sylvestor. Making his second start, the bay sat third for most of the mile and then sprinted home in :29-seconds to finish three-quarters of a length ahead of the pacesetter, Johannson.

The Richess Hanover-Duncans Sister pacing filly Fox Valley Dazzle turned in the fastest clocking of the day in her second outing for trainer Erv Miller. Driven by Andy Miller, Fox Valley Dazzle tracked her stablemate, Wendys Dragon, from the pocket spot and then used a :27.3 final frame to sweep up for the victory in 1:55.4 by over a length.

Casino Nights, a Western Ideal-Can Du River filly won her first qualifier in 1:56.3 for driver Luke McCarthy and trainer Noel Daley and the Powerful Toy-Golden Delicious colt, Golden Gladiator, won his third outing in 1:56.3 for trainer/driver Bart Dalious.
