McEachern Extending Defibrillator Push

John McEachern has informed Trot Insider that he is in the midst of organizing a fundraising push to get automated external defibrillators (AEDs) installed in outdoor sports fields across Ontario. McEachern’s push comes after a pair of young male athletes recently lost their lives playing soccer at sports fields that were not equipped with AEDs.

McEachern has provided Trot Insider with the details surrounding a day at the races in the VIP tent along the homestretch at Woodbine Racetrack.

The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 28.

For the cost of $4,500, each group will get a lunch for ten (10), betting vouchers, valet parking, race programs, a silent auction table and possibly a visit from Sandy Hawley.

McEachern explained that the first 10 companies or groups to reply will have their logo on a blanket that will be presented to the winner in the winner’s circle (one of the 10 races that day).

Participating companies will also get an AED in their name donated to a sports field.

He also stated that there is room for individuals to join for lunch, and enjoy the races from the VIP tent.

If a day at the races with a great fundraiser for AEDs appeals to you, contact McEachern at [email protected] or 905-474-0770 for further details.
