My Drag Queen blistered the opening quarter in :26.4 but still had enough pop late to score a front-end victory in Monday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at the Meadows.

My Drag Queen charged to the lead from Post 7 for Aaron Merriman, pocketing the 2-1 favourite, Tremor Hanover. They raced that way the balance of the mile, with My Drag Queen holding off Tremor Hanover by a half–length margin in 1:51, matching her career best. Jans Luck finished third.

Marcus Marashian trains My Drag Queen, a four-year-old daughter of Dragon Again-Kinki who has won three of her last four starts and $131,147 lifetime, for Bill Bercury.

Tony Hall drove four winners on the 15-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Tuesday, when the 16-race program features six divisions of a $120,000 Pennsylvania Stallion Series stake for freshman colt and gelding trotters. First post is 12:55 p.m.
