A pair of $18,919 mid-level Trackmaster races topped the bill at Plainridge Park on Tuesday (July 8) afternoon and both winning horses posted identical times and margins of victory.

In the first split, Cougar On A Terr (Matty Athearn) got away third as Justcallmecasey (Nick Graffam) took the group to the half in :56. Matty Ice tipped Cougar On A Terr first-over on the backstretch and drew alongside Justcallmecasey as they passed three-quarters in 1:24.1. Justcallmecasey and Cougar On A Terr matched strides around the last turn, but when they entered the stretch, Cougar On A Terr pulled away under a line drive to win by 1-3/4 lengths in a personal season's best 1:52.3.

Cougar On A Terr ($4.40) is owned by Catherine Dickson and trained by Gretchen Athearn.

Then in the second division, Windydayatthebeach (Drew Monti) got away fifth as Maidsweet IR (Mitchell Cushing) and Fern Hill Indigo (Brett Beckwith) battled to the half in a swift :53.3. As they motored up the backstretch, Fern Hill Indigo tired quickly while Monti pulled Windydayatthebeach as they approached three-quarters in 1:21.4. Maidsweet IR fought hard to maintain the lead in the last turn, but Windydayatthebeach was under a drive and pulled away to a 1-3/4 length lead to win in 1:52.3.

Windydayatthebeach ($6.80) is owned by Kevin Gee and Robert Kopack and trained by Randy Bickmore.

Kevin Switzer Jr. scored a hat trick in the bike to lead all drivers on Tuesday while 11 different trainers each won one race.

Live racing will resume at Plainridge Park on Thursday (July 10) at 4 p.m. and there will be a $9,505 carryover in the Wicked Hi-5 pentafecta in race six.
