Shes Nun Bettor N bested favourite So Much More for the second week in a row as they battled to the wire this week in the $32,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Handicap Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Handicapped outside from post nine for Friday's top distaff pace, divisional darling So Much More was the 3-5 favourite and followed the cover of Shes Nun Bettor N, who secured an early three-hole trip from post eight and advanced first-up from third at the midway mark for catch-driver Doug McNair. Shes Nun Bettor N collared the pacesetting Just Daisy (:27, :56.3 and 1:24.1) in the stretch and held off So Much More to win by a head in 1:51.3. Shes Got It All edged out Just Daisy for third off a pocket trip.

A 58-1 upset winner by a nose after closing from last in a high-end conditioned pace last Saturday, Shes Nun Bettor N was sent postward as the 8-1 fourth choice here and returned $19.10 to win.

Richard Moreau trains the six-year-old Bettors Delight-Christian Doll mare, who has won seven of her 19 seasonal starts and went over the $100,000 earnings mark this year, for owner Brad Grant of Milton, Ont.

A pair of $12,500 third leg divisions of a Pop-Up Series for pacing fillies and mares were won by series newcomer Baywatching ($9.30) in 1:52.4 with Sylvain Filion driving for Moreau and the Jean Tourigny-trained Mia Culpa ($3.70), a repeat winner in the series in 1:51.3 with Louis-Philippe Roy in the bike. The series is for fillies and mares that have started for a purse of $10,000 or less in one of last four starts.
