Truth Or Dare Triples At Inverness

Truth Or Dare defeated Art I Special for the third Sunday in a row at Inverness Raceway, but this time driver Ryan Campbell converted from the pocket to nab the $1,200 Winners Over Pace triumph in the final strides.

Unlike his last two races where he went wire-to-wire, Truth Or Dare settled into the pocket from a post three start and let insider Art I Special (Redmond Doucet) cut the mile. Following intervals of :30.1, :59.2 and 1:29.1, Campbell sent the 5-1 third choice after the favourite and he got up to score his 40th career win by a neck in 1:58 flat. Art I Special was a runner-up again while longshot Bo Butler (Katie Miller) finished four and a half lengths behind in third.

Truth Or Dare, who has yet to miss a paycheque in six seasonal starts, returned $12.60 to his faithful following. The eight-year-old son of Camluck is owned by trainer Walter Walker and Kayla Anne Habicht of Inverness, N.S.
