Forced three-wide down the backside, PJs Photo shrugged off the inconvenience and charged home to capture Friday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Trot in 1:54.2, a tick off The Meadows record for four-year-old mares.

When Dick Stillings sent PJs Photo after the lead from sixth, she moved crisply around tiring cover and reeled off the back half in :57.4 en route to a two and a quarter-length victory over Im Justa Lady. Caviar Forthe Lady was well back in show.

Daren Harvey trains PJs Photo, a daughter of SJs Photo-Big Kora, who lowered her lifetime mark 1.1 seconds and soared over $100,000 in career earnings, for Pius Soehnlen.

Brett Miller drove four winners on the 13-race card, giving him nine victories over the past two programs.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Saturday, with first post at 12:55 p.m. Each Monday and Tuesday in July, The Meadows is offering a $5,000-guaranteed pool for its Pick 4 wager.
