Devilish Emerald, trained by Bill Zendt, will be looking for her second lifetime win in one of the $26,300 Meda W.N. Reynolds Memorial races Saturday night at Pocono Downs.

The two-year-old Broadway Hall filly was impressive in her debut in the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes at the Meadows, winning in 1:58.2 with Dave Palone in the sulky. Devilish Emerald trotted the last quarter in :28.4.

Mike Lachance will be in the sulky when she attempts to remain unbeaten in her young racing career. Devilish Emerald will be leaving from the No. 4 post.

Four divisions of the Meda will be contested Saturday night.

Day 3 of Grand Circuit Week at Pocono Downs also will feature three divisions of the Tar Heel W.N. Reynolds Memorial for three-year-old colt and gelding pacers.

In the opening division of the Tar Heel, Pang Shui will be looking for win No. 2 on the year. Jim Morrill, Jr. will be in the bike for trainer Ray Schnittker.

This will mark Pang Shui’s fourth appearance at the Northeastern Pennsylvania oval in 2010 and those previous races in the Max C. Hempt Memorial Pace and Pennsylvania Sire Stakes were all second-place finishers.

Pang Shui, coming off a beaten favorite in the sire stakes June 28, paced that mile in 1:51.4.

Other horses to contend with in this division include Unicorn Hanover, JK Kinahurra and Lap Hanover. The latter is out of the powerful Ron Burke Stable. Burke also has Fisher’s Character in another division for the three-year-old colt and gelding pacers.

Grand Circuit Week will conclude Monday evening with two-year-old colt and gelding pacers and three-year-old filly trotters grabbing the limelight.
