Weather Hanover held off the late attackers to win Truro Raceway's top pacing class featured on Friday (July 7).
Weather Hanover led the way through fractions of :27.2, :56 and 1:26.2 in the $1,575 Winners Over Pace before holding off the wide-rallying Heart And Soul and pocket-pulling Distinctiv Rusty by a neck in 1:57.1.
The six-year-old Somebeachsomewhere-Whatsupcuz gelding is trained by Dr. Trevin Shive and owned by Dr. James Shive. He recorded his fifth win of the year from 13 starts, and 21st victory lifetime putting his bankroll at $94,625.
The victory in the feature was driver Todd Trites' fourth of the night.
