The photogenic gelding Blissed Out added to his collection of win pictures when he front-stepped his way to a 1:53.2 victory in Tuesday’s $10,000 Preferred at Kawartha Downs

.

The eight-year-old son of Blissfull Hall-Dynamite Dee wasted no time in grabbing the racetrack for driver Simon Allard, who carved out sensible panels of :28.3, :57.3 and 1:26 before asking the classy campaigner to kick home in :27.2 en route to the 1:53.2 decision. He was a length better than runner-up Chevron Hanover, while Zambuca Gass finished another five lengths back in third.

Sent off as the 4-5 choice in the seven-horse affair, Blissed Out improved his 2009 record to 8-5-1 in 20 starts for trainer Rene Allard, who co-owns the pacer with John Nother of Brampton, ON. The 35-time winner has stashed away more than $624,000 in lifetime loot.
