After spending the past three seasons racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park, Alabama Hannah is currently finding the Empire State to her liking.

The five-year-old Huntsville mare has shifted her base of operations back to the environs of owner Jeffrey Nanna, with Tioga Downs her current location. Under the guidance, of Mike Deters, Alabama Hannah now has back-to-back wins with the most recent coming in a $17,568 Winners Over Pace for fillies and mares on Saturday, July 5.

Elegant A (Tyler Miller) controlled all the early fractions in this contest.  She was first to the quarter in :26.4, she led to the half in :55.4, and to three-quarters in 1:23.4. Jim Pantaleano popped Alabama Hannah ($4.80) out of the pocket and the duo came flying down the lane to steal the win in 1:51.3 — just missing her lifetime mark by one-fifth of a second.  Elegant A had to settle for second best.  Fox Valley Leah (Todd Warren) finished third.

Picking up her fourth win of 2025, Alabama Hannah now boasts 15 career victories and $236,556 in earnings.

City Of Hope ($9.20) captured the co-featured $17,568 trot. The five-year-old son of Mets Hall is owned by Phillip Hale and trainer David Dewhurst.  Ridge Warren guided the gelding to his fifth win this season, and has now reached the winner’s circle 28 times in his career.

Tyler Miller and Pantaleano had driving triples.  Jenny Melander had a training triple.

Tioga Downs returns to live harness racing on Sunday, July 6 with a first post time of 1 p.m.
